Ethan Franklin
Director, Core Practice

Ethan has a broad educational background including degrees in Engineering (BS and MS) and Business (MBA) from the University of Illinois. He is also a licensed attorney, graduating from the Loyola School of Law in Chicago. He spent the early years of his career in the telecommunications industry working in the strategy, engineering and finance arenas. He then became general manager for a small specialty chemical company. For the last decade he has focused his talents on the operational consulting industry as the Vice President of Delivery for Coleman Consulting (CCG) and later Blue Pumpkin. There he led the consulting teams on projects in a wide array of industries including mining, manufacturing, telecommunications, power utilities (generating, transmission and distribution) and service. He joins John Frehse as one of the two original founders of Core Practice Partners. He currently runs the consulting operations and serves as General Counsel.


John W. Frehse
Chief Strategist, Core Practice

John is a graduate of Wake Forest University and before starting Core Practice Partners with Ethan Franklin was employed at Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Advisor. He later worked at CCG as a Senior Project Manager. During the acquisition of CCG by Blue Pumpkin Software in 2000 he transitioned to business development and became the Best Practices Advocate for labor management strategies and lectured internationally on this topic. John brings a wealth of knowledge to the company as well as a passion for corporate education on labor strategy and industry best practices.


Peter Bollenbeck, CEO of InVision Software

Peter Bollenbeck (*1973) started his career while still at school as a freelance software developer and consultant for staff scheduling, production control and management information systems. In 1992, he began studying Economic Sciences at the FernUniversitaet Hagen in parallel. In 1991, Peter formed pep/Systeme GbR together with Armand Zohari, a company specializing in the development and marketing of staff scheduling software. In 1993, he became involved in the formation of Dieter Thörmer Datentechnik GmbH. The company's fields of business included process visualization for bakeries and staff scheduling. In 1995, Peter Bollenbeck, Armand Zohari and Matthias Schroer formed InVision Software.

As CEO of InVision Software, Peter Bollenbeck is responsible for strategy, corporate finance, sales, and professional services.


Mauro Marengo, Executive VP Global Services, InVision Software

Mauro is the Executive Vice President for the Global Services at InVision Software AG. He’s got the responsibility of developing and managing resources and skills and providing consulting services for the implementation of the proprietary Workforce Management solution worldwide. He leads an international team of 80 people, who are operating in most of European Countries and in USA. He’s got a long term consulting experience in telecommunication, retail and consumer packaged goods markets.
